Goal

Sage Strategies was preparing to enter a new market and needed a brand that could establish immediate credibility to attract clients and position itself as a serious consulting partner from the start.

Outcome

Together, we developed a distinct visual identity and a structured brand system, including logo, guidelines, and client-facing materials, giving Sage Strategies a consistent and professional presence across every touchpoint.

Impact

Sage Strategies entered the market with a brand that immediately signaled credibility and clarity. Instead of having to prove themselves in every conversation, they were able to attract higher-value clients who already saw them as a serious, trusted partner. Their brand now supports trust from the first touchpoint and reinforces their position in a competitive market.

Brand Assessment

Sage Strategies is a consulting firm focused on helping startups and small businesses build clarity, direction, and long-term impact.

At the time, the company was entering a new market. The founder had relocated and was preparing to build a reputation from the ground up, targeting ambitious businesses looking for guidance and growth.

They came in with an AI-generated logo, something that looked acceptable on the surface.

But underneath, two problems became clear:

  • The mark wasn’t unique; similar versions already existed

  • There was no system to support consistent brand communication

For a firm built on strategic thinking, this created a gap.

They needed a brand that could:

  • Signal credibility immediately

  • Differentiate them in a competitive space

  • Support consistent communication across every interaction

Without it, they risked blending in before they even began.

The starting point wasn’t just a weak logo; it was a compromised one. Two other brands were using nearly identical marks. Redesigning it wasn’t enough. It had to be replaced with something distinct, something Sage Strategies could own without confusion.

The visual direction was built to support how they needed to show up: credible, focused, and trustworthy. The use of emerald green wasn’t aesthetic; it was intentional. It introduced a sense of calm authority and confidence, helping position the firm as a strategic partner rather than just another service provider.

From there, the focus shifted to consistency. Every asset, from proposal templates to brand guidelines, was designed so the team could communicate clearly and professionally without relying on a designer for every interaction.

Sage Strategies launched with a cohesive and professional brand presence.

The new identity:

  • Differentiates them clearly from competitors

  • Communicates focus and strategic clarity

  • Holds consistently across proposals, communication, and marketing

Instead of relying on explanation, the brand now does that work upfront.

With a strong foundation in place, Sage Strategies entered the market with confidence.

They are now able to:

  • Attract higher-value clients

  • Build trust earlier in conversations

  • Present themselves as a credible consulting partner

The business didn’t change, but how it is perceived did.

Now, our brand is cohesive, credible, and visually distinct. We stand out from our competitors, project a far more professional image, and easily attract higher-value clients directly. It’s been a game-changer for our business.
